Contractor verification

We only display a credential after our team has verified the underlying document. Until then, we say nothing about it.

What we collect and verify

  • Contractor license number
  • License classification
  • License status and expiration date
  • Insurance documentation
  • Background-check status
  • Skills and service categories
  • Service area
  • Years of experience
  • Customer ratings from completed Pix2Fixed jobs
  • Number of completed Pix2Fixed jobs

How verification works

A professional submits their documents during onboarding. An administrator reviews each item and marks it verified, rejected or expired. Labels such as “licensed”, “insured” or “background checked” only appear on a profile after the administrator verifies that specific item, and they disappear again if a document expires.

Licensed work and permits

Some categories — including electrical, plumbing and HVAC work — can legally require a licensed contractor or a permit. Those jobs are assigned to a professional whose license is verified and current. If a request turns out to need licensed work or a permit, we reassign it rather than letting an unlicensed professional continue.

Ongoing quality control

Provider approval, job assignment, refunds and review moderation are all handled manually by our team. Professionals can be suspended at any time while a complaint is investigated.

Not an emergency service

Pix2Fixed does not respond to emergencies. For a gas leak, fire, flooding, exposed electrical hazard or any immediate danger, call 911, your utility provider or the appropriate emergency service.
